7 Wonders
Balanced Wonder Draft (7 Wonders)
Many 7 Wonders groups draft wonder boards instead of random assignment to improve fairness and replayability.
Deal two wonder boards to each player. Everyone chooses one and passes the other left. Keep one passed board as backup for ties.
Military Smoothing (7 Wonders)
A community 7 Wonders rule narrows extreme military blowouts while keeping age-to-age tension meaningful.
In each age, military losses are capped at 1 point per neighbor instead of full standard penalty.
Simultaneous Science Check (7 Wonders)
This 7 Wonders speed tweak reduces end-age pauses caused by repeated science recalculations.
At the end of each age, all players reveal science symbols simultaneously and record a running score on paper.
Kids Open Draft First Age (7 Wonders)
Families teaching 7 Wonders often make age 1 open-hand to explain drafting fundamentals with less frustration.
In age 1 only, players keep hands face up while drafting. Ages 2 and 3 use normal hidden drafting.
Two-Player Dummy City Priority (7 Wonders)
This 7 Wonders two-player variant improves interaction by giving the neutral city a clearer strategic role.
In 2-player games, neutral city always takes the highest military value card from its drafted hand before discarding.
